Technical Manager - Yeovil – R.E.S

As a Technical Manager based in Yeovil you’ll be responsible for:
- Acting as the ultimate technical escalation point and mentor for the Technical Supervisor team
- Accountability for the rigorous quality control and auditing of all incoming property surveys and heat loss data submitted via the Spruce platform
- Providing direct technical support to the internal Estimating Team
- Personally executing complex, non-standard schematic, hydraulic, and thermodynamic designs for high-value residential or light-commercial projects.
- Maintain, update, and govern the internal technical library, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturer documentation, ensuring all information remains 100% current and accurate
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- MCS Framework Experience
- Advanced mechanical knowledge of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) design principles, hydraulic balancing, low-temperature heating geometry, and domestic hot water sizing protocols.
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating or a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline, alongside current G3 Unvented and WRAS/Water Regulations certifications.
- Proven proficiency in digital survey and heat loss software platforms (direct operational knowledge of Spruce or equivalent design tools)
- Ability to articulate complex thermodynamic and compliance principles into clear, actionable instructions for field staff
