The Opportunity:

We are seeking expressions of interest to join our team for a possible upcoming major new program of work, where you would play a key role in strengthening Australia's sovereign industrial capability. As a Supply Chain and Subcontracts Manager on this exciting new program, you would work with Defence, industry partners and suppliers to ensure exceptional performance in delivery, as well as support Australian Industry Capability (AIC) commitments and enhance supply chain resilience.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and lead the supply chain function for a major program of work, as well as the associated subcontracts and suppliers.
• Manage the delivery of Australian Industry Capability (AIC), Sovereign Sustainment and Supply Chain Industry Development initiatives.
• Lead engagement activities, including supply chain forums, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage, monitor and report on AIC commitments, Australian Content and Employment (ACE) obligations, and supply chain performance.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, industry partners and government stakeholders, both in Australia and internationally.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting to support contractual compliance and governance requirements.
• Contribute to governance reviews, reporting and initiatives that strengthen sovereign capability and supply chain resilience.

 

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

• A diploma or tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in management of supply chain and subcontracts, including suppliers
• Solid experience in management and coordination of AIC
• Experience working within Defence, Government or another complex regulated industry.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple organisations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance and support informed decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Experience in governance, compliance, contract management or continuous improvement is not essential, but highly regarded.
