Senior Marketing Coordinator - Practice Liaison

Overview

Nelson Mullins, an AmLaw 100 firm,  is seeking a Senior Marketing Coordinator – Practice Liaison to work with practice groups to support their marketing and business development efforts. This role will work directly with practice groups and individual attorneys to drive marketing visibility and business-generating initiatives. This position reports to the firm’s Marketing Manager.

A Day in the Life

In this role you will serve as a strategic thought partner and project manager to practice group and subgroup leaders, helping establish strategic goals, implement change, and drive progress against key priorities. Plan and manage group events, seminars, conferences, and webinars, including audience targeting, vendor coordination, post-event evaluations, and ROI analysis, with occasional travel as needed. Support the onboarding of new attorneys and help them become acclimated to the firm and their practice group. Lead Chambers, Legal 500, and other industry award submissions for assigned practice areas. Maintain and enhance practice group pitch materials, collaborate with the Proposal Team on business development opportunities, and develop customized pitches as needed. Partner with attorneys, practice groups, and the broader marketing team to develop, edit, and manage high-quality content, including client alerts, newsletters, website content, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, and thought leadership materials. Maintain content calendars, ensure consistency with the firm’s brand and voice, and coordinate content distribution across digital channels, including the firm’s website, email campaigns, and social media platforms.

We Know You

A bachelor’s degree and at least six years of marketing experience are required, with prior law firm experience preferred. Experience with RFP and proposal writing is a plus. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an exceptional writer with the ability to draft, synthesize, and communicate information in compelling and effective ways. Strong project management and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize and manage competing demands, meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
