Keep the official score and game time for adult basketball league games using a manual or electronic scoreboard Accurately record game information, including points, fouls, timeouts, and other details on the official score sheet Arrive at least 30 minutes before assigned games and assist with setting up equipment Stay focused throughout each game and communicate game information as needed to the site supervisor Assist the site supervisor with addressing unruly players, coaches, or spectators Assist with completing incident or accident reports when needed Help clean up after games, return equipment, dispose of trash, and bring lost items to the appropriate location Complete and submit timesheets in a timely manner Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Knowledge of basketball or general knowledge of athletic scoring is preferred Experience as a scorekeeper or working with the public is preferred Ability to read and record information accurately Ability to obtain CPR, first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) certification
Stay focused and attentive throughout fast-paced games Accurately track and record game information Arrive prepared and on time and follow through on assigned responsibilities Communicate clearly and work effectively with players, coaches, spectators, and Parks and Recreation staff
