What You’ll Do:
The VP HELOC Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all HELOC files originated from bank charters are processed, closed, and funded according to Wintrust Mortgage’s established quality, efficiency and customer service standards. The VP HELOC Operations Manager will effectively leverage pipeline, production and quality reports to promote both employee and customer satisfaction.
Production and Pipeline Management:
Achieves pipeline conversion and loan service time objectives in line with budget plan.
Monitor workflows and department metrics to increase service levels while increasing staff productivity without sacrificing quality or increasing risk.
Oversees overall department financial management, planning, systems and controls.
Meet established productivity levels and turnaround times as set by management
Review daily pipeline reports and reallocate as dictated by volume
Responsible for Cycle times.
Manufacturing Quality:
Effectively resolve problems that arise on a daily basis
Be up to date on all HELOC related guidelines
Ensure the accuracy of all necessary criteria for HELOC rates and fee structures.
Ensure that all relevant policies, procedures, internal controls and processes are kept up to date and meet all regulatory and other requirements.
Responsible for responding to Compliance and internal audit reviews.
Customer Satisfaction and Experience
Contributes to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team, including an initiative focused on achieving operational excellence.
Create and maintain a team environment among retail bankers and HELOC staff to complete transactions timely and efficiently
Monitor file flow to ensure SLA's and KPI’s are consistently met or exceeded.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency by taking on immediate issues concerns as needed.
Monitor and Improve/maintain Customer Stat.
Responsible for closing times.
Responsible for Employee Engagement initiatives and results.
Personnel Management and Support:
Establishes, leads, and retains a best in class HELOC team.
Manages a skilled team of HELOC staff consisting of Processing, Underwriting and Closing.
Responsible for leading the HELOC team to processing, underwrite, and close loans fast & efficiently; while maintaining exceptional communication with internal & external customers/borrowers.
Responsible for Employee Engagement initiatives and results.
Assist SVP Head of Mortgage credit on strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in mortgage operations fulfillment with a proven track record in leadership, mentoring and management.
Bachelor's Degree in a finance related major or related work experience.
Credit experience is preferred.
Knowledge of Fulfillment operations on a national scale with experience supporting multiple customers.
Knowledge of all legal and regulatory aspects for mortgage operations.

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $98,000 - $132,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
