About Rapid Medical
Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems — operating across 28 states and managing thousands of daily stops that keep healthcare running. We're building out a dedicated dispatch team at our King of Prussia, PA office to support operations from day one.
The Role
As a Dispatcher, you're the person clients call when something's time-sensitive, the person drivers rely on when the unexpected happens, and the connective tissue that keeps deliveries moving on time, every time.
You'll manage real-time dispatch for a fleet of W2 drivers delivering to residential addresses — assigning routes, monitoring performance, solving problems on the fly, and keeping drivers and clients aligned throughout the day. This is a fast-paced, high-volume, last-mile environment, and we're looking for people who've operated in one before.
What You'll Own
Dispatch & Route Coordination
- Assign and adjust routes in real time to keep pace with high daily delivery volume
- Monitor real-time conditions — including traffic, weather, and capacity — and make adjustments as needed to maintain service levels
- Coordinate driver assignments, manage available capacity, and ensure the right resources are positioned to support daily operations
- Track performance against delivery windows and service-level targets, and escalate risk early
Client & Driver Support
- Serve as a point of contact for the client account — fielding scheduling requests, answering questions, and handling escalations with professionalism and urgency
- Support drivers via our mobile platform, serving as a calm, reliable resource in high-pressure moments
- Identify and flag service issues before they become problems — you anticipate, not just react
Operational Problem Solving
- Own incident response: missed pickups, vehicle issues, time-sensitive reroutes — you find a path forward quickly
- Document issues, resolution steps, and patterns to help us continuously improve operations
Compliance & Quality
- Audit driver documentation — chain-of-custody, temperature logs — and escalate non-compliance issues immediately
- Uphold the operational standards our clients trust us to maintain
Who We're Looking For
We're specifically looking for people who've dispatched in a high-volume, time-sensitive delivery environment before — you know what it feels like when the board is full and the clock is moving, and you thrive there anyway.
- 2+ years of dispatch or route coordination experience in transportation, courier, or last-mile delivery logistics — experience dispatching for Amazon DSP, UPS, FedEx, or a similar high-volume delivery operation is a strong plus
- Comfortable with high volume — you've managed a large number of routes, drivers, or stops at once and know how to keep things moving without losing accuracy
- Calm and composed under pressure — fast-moving operations with real stakes don't rattle you; they energize you
- Skilled multitasker — you juggle client calls, driver check-ins, and dispatch adjustments simultaneously without losing your footing
- Professional communicator, written and verbal — you adapt your tone from a concerned client to a stressed driver without missing a beat
- Comfortable with technology — you pick up new dispatch and routing platforms quickly and use them to your advantage
- Able to work the required on-site schedule — this is an in-office role, and reliable attendance for every scheduled shift is essential
- Able to reliably commute — to our Warminster, PA office for every scheduled shift
- Bilingual — a plus, not required
