Memorial Health Care Systems is proud to be recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for 2026, and we are currently seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Optimization Specialist to work in our Seward, NE office. This is not a remote position.
This position implements and maintains assigned revenue cycle and peripheral modules within MHCS enterprise Health Information System (HIS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Supports the uses of these technologies through the evaluation and recommendation of best practice, planning and implementation of new workflows and processes, supporting departmental uses, as well as the development and training of super users and supporting departments in their training needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with hospital and clinic departments to implement, maintain and support HIS and EHR software modules and their respective workflows.
Research and communicate with departments and vendors regarding upcoming system changes and updates.
- Support departmental staff training and orientation by aiding departments and super users to train end users and develop training materials.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve issues identified with workflows and HIS/EHR software configuration. Assist end users and work with super users to collect examples. Collaborate with vendors and escalate issues to vendor resources as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert for departments users in primary focus areas; and as a liaison between these areas, IT and EHR vendors.
Work with the leadership to strategize system needs and data governance. This includes committee participation, project coordination, compliance efforts, and data governance strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience in healthcare, business, financial, information technology or related field. Bachelor degree is preferred.
- Experience in the implementation and support of computer systems preferred, including previous experience with implementing, configuring and/or supporting HIS or EHR technologies, especially Meditech and Veradigm PM.
