Description
This recruitment is only open to current San Bernardino County, San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, or Special District employees who hold a regular, intern, contract, extra-help, recurrent, Public Service Employee, or Work Experience Program (WEX) position. Former PSE, WEX, or interns are eligible to apply up to six (6) months from the end of their assignment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
CANDIDATES MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE OPTION REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION: | |
OPTION 1 | Must possess three (3) years of experience supervising professional-level accounting operations in one of the following areas: governmental accounting functions, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, property tax, intergovernmental fiscal relations, or auditing governmental functions. |
| OPTION 2 | Must possess two (2) years of experience as a Supervising Accountant/Auditor or Senior Supervising Accountant/Auditor within ATC. |

EDUCATION | Must possess a completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR Bachelor's degree in another field which must include 24 semester (36 quarter) units of accounting coursework and 24 semester (36 quarter) units of business related coursework. EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: An active California Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license may substitute for the education requirement. List your license number under the license/certification section of the application. |
