Are you a talented Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science student, registered at a Dutch education institution, and are eager to deepen your experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Engineering?
At ING’s Data Management & Personalization department you will be able to take your expertise to the next level and make maximum use of your knowledge while working in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere. We are looking for a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to the automation of data ingestion workflows within our Analytics Application Platform (AAP). As an intern, you will work on developing a centralized request interface (portal or form-based UI) using Python, Azure DevOps, Power Automate, Oracle database(or BigQuery), and supporting backend workflows that automate validation, request handling, approvals, and tracking which integrates well with Google Cloud Platform and Nifi. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to build a scalable and user-friendly solution. As Advanced Analytics Platform product, we aspire to empower the ING analytics community to enable them to get maximal value out of ING’s data in a short-time-to-market manner by means of a safe, secure & compliant Cloud platform for exploration and exploitation purposes while respecting ING’s IT risk compliance, policies and standards, and other laws, rules and regulations.
What you will do
Use your engineer skills to design and implement a scalable user-friendly interface
Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams
Develop automation workflows for request handling
Implementation of validation, notifications, and tracking
Document the solution, including how-to guides and onboarding materials
Participation in user acceptance testing and rollout readiness
Alignment with stakeholders on the implementation acceptance including the Data Science community and Optimus squad
Your skills
Have an understanding of using Python, Azure DevOps, Power Automate, Oracle database(or BigQuery).
Experience with back-end development, as you will contribute to backend processes that handle: Input validation, Metadata capture and standardization, Request submission and approval workflows
You know how to write documentation, including how-to guides and onboarding materials
Understanding of implementing notifications and tracking mechanisms for request lifecycle status
An understanding of integration with existing data platforms such as NiFi, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle
Knowledge of Support logging, monitoring, and audit trail implementation
Experience back-end development
Independent mind-set and flexible attitude
You can contribute proactive in the process of developing
