- Provide hands-on direction to a software engineering team, collaborating with product management and architecture leads to deliver agreed-upon roadmap items.
- Drive the delivery of engineering deliverables across multiple development organizations.
- Serve as the scrum master, leading cross-functional teams including development, user experience, and quality assurance.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure successful product delivery from conception to release.
- Communicate engineering release health, issues, and risks to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
- Proactively manage engineering risks and issues to mitigate or eliminate undesirable impacts.
- Serve as the primary communication mechanism within the development team, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
- Build strong partnerships across the organization.
- Take initiative as a technical problem solver, identifying and resolving technical issues and challenges.
- Lead scrum meetings.
- Provide leadership to achieve high software engineering standards, including quality, security, stability, and scalability.
- 15-20 years of experience mentoring and growing successful engineering teams.
- Continuously improve tools and best practices for development activities.
- Utilize agile and iterative approaches to manage development efforts.
- Demonstrate high levels of leadership and accountability.
- Collaborate with team members to promote productivity and effectiveness.
- Experience with project management best practices and methodologies.
- Experience in software development and management.
- Experience with Agile software methodologies.Experience managing technology deliverables and application portfolios.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to drive day-to-day activities.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and other Program Management tools.
- Understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL.
- Open source software experience preferred.
- Ability to work and solve problems both as part of a team and independently.
