Description
The Technology Integration Manager is responsible for coordinating the effective use, implementation, and integration of technology across Klickitat PUD’s operations and business functions. The position serves as a liaison between operational departments, Information Technology, vendors, and consultants to identify technology needs, improve workflows, and support successful implementation and use of technology systems.
This position evaluates business and operational processes, coordinates cross-functional technology projects, supports system selection and implementation, and helps ensure technology solutions are effectively integrated into electric operations, water/wastewater, RNG, Customer Service, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, and other administrative and support functions.
The Technology Integration Manager coordinates technology-related projects across departments and works closely with Information Technology to support system integration, implementation, and ongoing improvement.
The position promotes effective use of existing systems, identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation, supports organizational technology planning, and helps departments successfully adopt changes in systems, tools, and business processes.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a liaison between operational departments, Information Technology, vendors, and consultants to identify technology needs and coordinate solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage cross-departmental technology projects, including system implementations, upgrades, integrations, enhancements, and process changes.
- Evaluate business processes, workflows, and system use to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, integration, automation, reporting, data quality, and user experience.
- Gather and document operational and business requirements and translate those needs into functional system requirements in coordination with users, Information Technology, and vendors.
- Coordinate the evaluation, selection, testing, implementation, and ongoing improvement of systems supporting electric operations, water/wastewater, RNG, Customer Service, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, and other administrative and support functions.
- Develop project scopes, plans, schedules, documentation, and communication materials; monitor project costs and work within approved budgets.
- Coordinate project activities across departments and monitor timelines, deliverables, risks, and overall project performance.
- Promote effective use of existing systems by identifying underutilized functionality, improving workflows, and coordinating training and user support.
- Work closely with Information Technology to ensure technology projects align with infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and system requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers on assigned projects and monitor performance, deliverables, and contractual requirements.
- Assist with prioritizing short- and long-term technology projects, system improvements, and replacement needs within established organizational priorities and budgets.
- Facilitate communication across departments to resolve system and workflow issues and support effective use of technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Project management principles and practices, including planning, scheduling, risk management, implementation, and evaluation.
- Utility operations, business processes, and the relationship between operational and administrative functions.
- Business process analysis, workflow improvement, system integration, and organizational change.
- Vendor coordination, technology procurement, contract administration, and related project support.
- Data management, reporting, cybersecurity, data governance, and technology risk concepts.

Minimum Qualifications: Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in an electric, water, wastewater, or other utility environment involving project management, technology implementation, business systems, operations, business analysis, or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating cross-functional technology, system implementation, integration, or process-improvement projects.
- Experience working across multiple departments or operational functions to identify requirements, coordinate projects, and improve processes.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, consultants, and technical personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software used for business operations, project management, reporting, and system implementation.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification, or the ability to obtain within six months of regular-status employment.
- Post-offer drug test required.
- Post-offer background check required.
Valid Driver’s License: Valid driver's license required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, information systems, business administration, engineering, computer science, utility management, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Broad experience with utility operations, business processes, or systems across multiple departments.
- Experience managing technology or system implementation projects in a utility environment.
- Experience with software systems used in utility operations, including customer information, billing, metering, work management, asset management, maintenance, GIS, outage management, SCADA, or other operational and business applications.
- Experience with business process mapping, workflow improvement, data analysis, reporting, or automation.
- Project management, business analysis, information systems, or related professional certification.

- Regular travel between District facilities and work locations is required, including electric, water/wastewater, RNG, and other operational locations.
- Occasional work in field, warehouse, water/wastewater facilities, RNG facilities, or other operational environments may be required, including exposure to varying weather conditions and active work areas.
