Associate Project Leader - ConstructionKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR is looking for an Associate Project Leader - Construction with an interest in estimating to assist Project Team Leaders and Project Managers in carrying out activities for the control and oversight of construction contractors at the client’s industrial manufacturing site. The incumbent is responsible for managing the execution of construction and maintenance projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and site requirements. He/She can perform basic project management functions under minimal supervision and may be capable of running a project of $3 million and above. Typical competencies include leadership, HSE management and performance, contract /commercial management, construction Quality Assurance programs, field material management, and field project controls.
This position is located at a client site in Circleville, Ohio. No relocation or per diem will be offered.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assure implementation of the site Safety Policies and Procedures
Manages projects and subcontractor activities to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the project and site specifications. Oversees the activities of construction field subcontractors and manages the project change process.
Provide construction support during front end loading such as preparing construction scopes of work for estimating, providing input into the construction schedule, and providing input for subcontracting strategy.
Liaison with KBR site and home office engineering for projects including preparation of construction status reports, managing input into the progress reporting systems and interfacing with client representatives.
Acts as the channel of communications with the site subcontractors on all matters relevant to the satisfactory completion of the assigned work.
Supervises construction cost and scheduling to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with contract obligations and site/home office procedures
Ensures that up-to-date IFC drawings are distributed to appropriate construction contractors
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Must be US Citizen and eligible to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of a degree
8+ years’ experience in industrial construction
Estimating experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing multimillion dollar projects
Must have the ability to work in a team environment
Clear Criminal Background Check required
