Job Summary The CAD Business Administrator will support the installation, configuration, training, and ongoing administration of CAD and PLM applications used across Lifetime Products. This role partners with internal customers, management, technical support teams, and CAD users to improve processes, resolve issues, coordinate CAD-related projects, and ensure users have the tools and knowledge needed to work effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Windchill PDMLink, LPDS, and other PLM applications.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate CAD-related projects to support on-time completion across domestic and international divisions.
- Develop, improve, and maintain CAD processes, training materials, and user support resources, including a knowledge base.
- Provide training and guidance to CAD users to ensure understanding of tools, responsibilities, and process expectations.
- Work with internal customers to provide technical advice, troubleshoot issues, and resolve CAD and PLM-related problems.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to CAD systems, workflows, and user support.
- Complete monthly benchmarks and prepare reports, measurements, and updates for management and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with PTC technical support to resolve Creo-related issues.
- Complete additional duties or requests as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Software and Training
- Software experience or working knowledge preferred: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, PDMLink, and LPDS.
- Training participation may include Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, PDMLink/LPDS user training, and ECN participation.
Required Qualifications
- No more than one attendance occurrence and/or one performance occurrence.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to set priorities based on current business needs and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter with a strong drive for results and attention to detail.
- Ability to complete assignments independently within established time frames.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills when supporting internal users.
