Post Sale Foreclosure Specialist

McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking an experienced Post-Sale Foreclosure Specialist to manage the post-sale stages of North Carolina non-judicial foreclosure matters. This position is responsible for ensuring post-sale activities are completed accurately and timely in accordance with North Carolina requirements, client and investor guidelines, and firm procedures. The ideal candidate will have prior mortgage default or foreclosure experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working within mortgage-servicing client systems and default-management platforms.

Requirements

• Manage assigned foreclosure files through all post-sale stages, including upset-bid periods and final file completion.
• Review sale results and verify purchaser, bid amount, sale date, and related information.
• Process third-party purchaser files and coordinate required documentation and funds.
• Prepare Trustee’s Deeds, final reports/accountings, notices, and other required post-sale documents.
• Coordinate execution, filing, and recording of post-sale documents.
• Calculate and verify sale proceeds, costs, fees, taxes, commissions, and other amounts.
• Identify and escalate surplus proceeds, title issues, bankruptcy filings, defaulting bidders, resale requirements, and other exceptions.
• Maintain accurate and timely updates in the firm’s case-management system and applicable client portals.
• Complete client milestones, tasks, reporting, document uploads, and exception responses within required deadlines.
• Perform quality-control reviews before closing foreclosure files.
• Escalate legal, title, accounting, or compliance concerns when attorney or management review is required.

 Qualifications

• Prior experience in mortgage default, foreclosure, creditors’ rights, mortgage servicing, or real estate law strongly preferred.
• North Carolina foreclosure and post-sale experience highly desirable.
• Experience with Sagent TEMPO/Dara, Black Knight/LPS, CaseAware, or similar default-servicing platforms strongly preferred.
• Experience working with mortgage servicers, client portals, milestones, tasks, and reporting requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadline management.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and multiple competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with North Carolina eCourts/Odyssey is a plus.

The successful candidate will be organized, accountable, technologically proficient, and able to independently manage routine post-sale files while recognizing matters requiring attorney or management review.
