Human Resources Director

Job Description

• Controlling the entire Human Resources offering in a large Marketing company or Geography, reporting to a Senior director. Has full responsibility for designing and implementing company strategy relating to Human Resources throughout their organisational area and plays a key role in the formulation of AstraZeneca policies and procedures. May also manage specialist functions and generalists.

Typical Accountabilities

• Develops and implements the people strategy for a large marketing company or geographic area that is aligned with the organisation's vision and its current and long-term business objectives at a global or domestic level
• Advises the business area executive team on HR issues in order to inform business planning activity
• Supports the business in communicating and enabling change within the business area
• Oversees the local deployment of multiple core HR processes, including talent management, reward, performance management and recruitment, making recommendations for change where these do not align to business needs
• Contributes to the development of AZ wide HR policy and process and provides input into strategic HR direction
• Identifies organisational needs, critical people and organisational capabilities required to support these. Develops and ensures the execution of actionable plans for the business area
• Actively monitors and challenges the leadership team, providing effective coaching, to ensure that AZ values and performance standards are effectively reflected in recruitment, talent planning and reward decision-making
• Defines HR resource requirements to deliver organisational HR objectives and enable successful execution of strategy
• Financially plans and manages budgets for all areas of responsibility required for delivery of HR services
• Builds capability within the HR function to deliver against objectives mentoring and developing talent

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Experience in a senior HR generalist position
• Capability in developing and implementing HR strategy
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• Project and change management skills
• Leadership of teams
• Degree and postgraduate HR qualification
• lobal experience (Desirable)
