Provide quality service to customers in specified lending areas, i.e., consumer, mortgage and/or commercial (with emphasis dependent upon position). Must make sound decisions based on information obtained. Needs to fully understand the lending process and applicable rules and regulations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Position is weighted to lending area, but not limited to.
  • Meet with customers to discuss the best financing for their needs.
  • Responsible for soliciting, originating, analyzing, underwriting and coordinating the closing of consumer, residential, and small commercial loans as defined by position in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. Must be well versed in policies, procedures and processes, i.e., applications, credit reports, title work, flood report, etc.
  • Implements programs. Assists in attaining Bank goals through active participation in officer call programs.
  • Must be able to effectively cross sell Bank products and generate business to further develop account relationships.
  • Miscellaneous duties include various operational functions, i.e., branch management, compliance, security and other responsibility. Must ensure that all Bank policies and procedures are enacted by employees.
  • Effectively serve on internal committees as assigned and external committees as determined.
  • Assist Loan Recovery staff with collection activities as necessary.
  • Assume and accomplish other duties as directed or self-initiated.

Requirements

Position requires effective decision-making, with good interpersonal skills to work with customers, the community and employees. Must possess full knowledge of Bank lending procedures and policies, products and services, as well as knowledge of computers/programs.

Professionalism must be exhibited and confidentiality respected at all times.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Previous loan experience preferred. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Position may require individual to perform repetitive motion in operating equipment such as keyboard, calculator or other bank/office-related machinery. While performing duties the employee may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position requirements may be, but are not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, bending, talking, hearing and communicating. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

· Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured required if driving.

· Position requires attendance at meetings. 

· Some travel is expected for this position. However, travel is primarily local and during the business day. 

· Employees are responsible for the upkeep/organization of their work area and in cooperation with others in shared areas.
