Customer Service Expert – Phone Support (LATAM)
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Latam remote
Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
Scope of Work
- Place and receive phone calls on behalf of customers to complete tasks including reservations, appointment scheduling, and vendor confirmations.
- Engage with businesses and service providers, ensuring clear, professional communication to gather information and fulfill requests.
- Efficiently navigate phone menus, hold queues, and call centers to reach the appropriate contact for each task.
- Document outcomes and important details for every call interaction with accuracy and attention to confidentiality.
- Handle a high volume of short, consecutive calls addressing a variety of customer needs.
- Collaborate with other remote professionals to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer service experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and discretion with sensitive customer information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in executive assistance, virtual assistance, concierge services, or customer support via phone.
- Fluent, neutral, and clear spoken English with strong improvisational and live conversation skills for US-based interactions.
- Confidence in making outbound calls, including cold calls, and efficiently navigating automated phone systems.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, quiet work environment, and a quality wired or USB headset.
- Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or travel industries; negotiation or escalation experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple consecutive tasks, and deliver high-quality service remotely.
Compensation Structure
Representatives are paid for scheduled, available hours — not per call completed.
Start Timeline & Availability
This role requires committed, shift-based availability — representatives must be fully active and responsive for the entire duration of every scheduled shift. This would be an initial 4-week engagement, with representatives working four 5-hour shifts per week (up to 20 hours/week). Genuine weekend availability is required for a portion of the team.
We typically fill roles within 48 hours and expect selected candidates to start their first shifts within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
