Reporting to: Customer Relations ManagerStart Date: ImmediateWorking Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pmProbation Period: 6 months Job Type: Full Time, PermanentJob Location: Office Based (Salary would be based on qualifications and experiences) ABOUT THE JOBTo manage and grow assigned maintenance contracts through proactive client engagement, site and building services management, commercial development, and multi-disciplinary coordination. The Facilities Manager (Hard FM) ensures compliance, maximises operational efficiency, drives revenue opportunities, and represents the voice of the client across East West Connect (EWC). This role also provides a clear pathway for career progression and development within the organisation.DUTIESContract & Client ManagementAct as the primary client contact for allocated contractsDevelop and maintain trusted client relationshipsChair client meetings and issue monthly performance reportsEnsure contracts operate within agreed scope, KPIs and compliance standardsOperational & Site ManagementCoordinate engineers, building services operatives and subcontractorsMonitor SLA performance, PPM completion and reactive response timesEnsure Safe Systems of Work, permits and RAMS are implementedSupport resolution of service failures and escalationsCommercial & Revenue ResponsibilitiesTrack remedials, variations and additional service opportunitiesLiaise with Estimating and Commercial teams to develop quotationsCompile and analyse KPI dashboards and performance dataIdentify opportunities for service improvement and contract growthQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEEssentialProven experience managing maintenance or facilities management contracts.Strong client‑facing experience within maintenance, engineering or property services.Experience coordinating engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.Experience managing contracts against KPIs, SLAs and compliance requirements.Involvement in mobilisation, onboarding or contract transition activities.NVQ Level 5 or 6 in Facilities Management, Construction, Operations or similar (or working towards).DesirableNEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma.ILM / CMI Level 5 or 6 in Leadership & Management.Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services qualification.CSCS Manager or Supervisor card.CAFM system experience.KNOWLEDGEWorking knowledge of hard FM services including M&E and statutory complianceUnderstanding of SFG20, F‑Gas, fire safety and water hygiene requirementsAbility to produce KPI dashboards, performance reports and risk registersCompetent user of Excel and digital reporting toolsSKILLSStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to influence and negotiate without direct authorityHighly organised with strong planning and prioritisation capabilitiesCommercially aware with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused mindsetCalm under pressure with strong problem‑solving abilityOTHERAbility to travel between sitesFlexibility to support out‑of‑hours activities by agreementCommitment to personal development and progression toward Contract Manager rolesWhy You’ll Love Working With UsWe believe in rewarding our people and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
