Raytheon is seeking a Finance Manager for our Specter business portfolio of programs within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU. This leader will join our dynamic Strike Initiatives (SI) finance team as a lead for an exciting program area that is transitioning to production. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements. In this role, you will serve as the deputy to the Business Manager which requires proactive leadership. You will have significant interaction with Program Directors/Managers, Functional leads and customer counterparts to ensure the program is being executed within the agreed parameters without compromising Raytheon’s policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program controls, strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the financial customer deliverables (CDRLs), variance analysis, presenting at business level reviews, Earned Value Management and compliance, and Estimates at Completion (EACs).  The candidate should be comfortable producing individual work product, analysis and in use of system tools; but be able to lead group by setting expectations and lead that team on multiple work-products and deliverables concurrently.  You will be expected to take ownership over the tactical day-to-day financial products and prioritization, and be dedicated to continued process improvements and the building of efficiencies into finance-based aspects of the program area.

What You Will Do

  • Financial point of contact for Program Management and be able to provide financial guidance to IPT leads and non-finance organizations including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Develop, train, and lead program controls teams.
  • Implement and supervise contractually required EVMS (Earned Value Management) reporting.
  • Support the EAC process by driving functional meetings and collaborating with functional counterparts to EAC inputs are analyzed and provided on schedule.
  • Coordinate & Communicate with SSBU and Program Finance teams to set expectations for EAC and forecast deliverables including flow down and deliverable timing & expectations.
  • Provide financial leadership in proposals, thinking strategically to develop competitive offerings and secure internal alignment.
  • Develop, present and defend business case analyses to secure investment.
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls, tools and processes.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience
  • Experience interfacing with various functional disciplines (Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Operations, Quality, etc.)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Earned Value Management experience to include IBRs (Integrated Baseline Reviews) (Leading at suppliers and program), delivery of all EV CDRL formats including CSDR (Cost & Software Data Reporting) and CFSR (Contract Funds Status Report).
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to frame and interpret issues for Senior Management.
  • Comfortable in a highly visible position with direct access to senior leadership
  • Experience in organizing, preparing and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams and an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience recognizing process shortfalls and successfully implementing positive change.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
