Base salary will be in the range $106,709 - $116,198 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)

About This Opportunity
Bring your cloud, automation and infrastructure expertise to this impactful role supporting secure and highly available computing environments. As part of the Platform Services team, you will play a key role in designing, building and operating platforms that enable scalable, reliable and secure digital services across the organisation.
Working at the intersection of infrastructure and software engineering, you will drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement, helping to modernise platform capabilities and support teams to deliver efficiently in a complex enterprise environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Design, build and operate platform services across cloud and on-prem environments to support scalable and reliable application delivery
Develop and maintain automation using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines to improve consistency, efficiency and deployment velocity
Implement and manage monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure platform performance, availability and operational visibility
Collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams to deliver secure, standardised and well-governed platform solutions
About You
You are a technically strong platform engineer with a passion for cloud, automation and modern engineering practices. You thrive in complex environments and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to building scalable and reliable platform services.
You will demonstrate:
A degree in IT or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
Proven experience designing and operating cloud platforms in AWS and/or Azure environments
Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions (e.g. Prometheus, CloudWatch, Datadog)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience diagnosing complex platform or infrastructure issues
Experience working in large, complex IT environments and supporting change or modernisation initiatives
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Demonstrated commitment to automation, standardisation and continuous improvement practices
