Job Description

As a Security Officer Court Screener in Traverse City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support a technology, media, and telecommunications location by monitoring access points, screening visitors and items, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a professional presence, and help to deter incidents through attentive observation and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, and permitted items using assigned screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items and activity to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access as directed, maintaining accurate visitor and screening-related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
