We are seeking a reliable and service-oriented Handyman to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and office support tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained working environment.
As part of the team, the Handyman will work alongside two other Handymen and collaborate closely with various departments to support day-to-day operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work, including:
- Painting and touch-up work
- Drywall (gypsum) repairs and installations
- Basic carpentry and hardware (fixtures and fittings) repairs
- Plumbing maintenance and repairs
- Respond to and resolve blocked sinks, drains, and toilets.
- Assemble, disassemble, and relocate office furniture as required.
- Hang pictures, whiteboards, shelves, and other office fixtures.
- Support office relocations and internal moves between buildings or office areas.
- Transport and move equipment, furniture, and supplies across sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance, facilities, or related role.
- Practical experience in painting, drywall work, plumbing, furniture assembly, and general repairs.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.
