Job Description:
The Market Historical Storage (MHS) team at CIBC is responsible for the secure collection, storage, and management of historical market data. The team ensures that large volumes of financial and market information are reliably archived and readily accessible to support analytics, regulatory reporting, and business decision-making across the bank.
We are seeking for an experienced candidate to support and enhance our automation systems, deliver business reporting solutions, and provide high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to streamline data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
• Build and optimize business reporting tools for internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of insights.
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical support and customer service to internal clients, troubleshooting issues and ensuring high system availability.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards in all development and support activities.
• Work closely with other IT and business teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Must Have Requirement
• 5+ years proven experience in software engineering preferably in financial services or data management environments.
• 5+ years of technical working experience with .Net, C# (version 8 or higher)
• 5+ years of technical working experience with SQL Server, TSQL, SSMS
• 3+ years of technical working experience with Python
• 3+ years of technical experience of Microsoft Azure Cloud, GIT, DevOps.
• 2+ years of Data Bricks experience
• Experience with automation frameworks, data reporting tools, and database technologies.
Nice to Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience historical market data
Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
