About the Role:
- Manage multiple project phases, including preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, execution, contract writing, buyouts, and close-out.
- Develop and implement project plans outlining scope, timelines, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all work is executed in compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Projected Final Cost Reports (PFR) and Labor Cost Reports (LCR).
- Oversee owner billings and subcontractor pay applications.
- Lead change order processes, ensuring accurate documentation and cost control.
- Track quantities and forecasts to maintain accurate budgets and beat estimated costs.
- Vendor documentation.
- Support estimating, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Participate in interviews and pursue strategy as a project champion.
- Collaborate with preconstruction and design teams to align scope, cost, and schedule.
- Develop subcontract scopes, manage bid solicitations, conduct scope reviews, and finalize agreements.
- Contribute to Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) plans and sustainability initiatives as required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
- Partner with scheduling teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to create and maintain achievable construction schedules and communication with the admin team for compliance.
- Ensure procurement aligns with production timelines and long-lead material requirements.
- Stay ahead of crew needs to maximize field efficiency.
- Provide clear, timely communication to agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Promote a culture of safety and zero incidents across all phases of work.
- Implement safety, loss prevention, EEO, risk management, and quality control programs.
- Participate in safety training, field inspections, and project review processes.
- Maintain a drug-free workplace in compliance with company policy.
- Supervise and develop Project Engineers and support staff.
- Provide mentorship, accountability, and actionable feedback.
- Foster collaboration across field and office teams.
- Demonstrate initiative, integrity, and ownership in all responsibilities.
- Represent the company professionally within the industry and community.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10+ years of experience in heavy civil, commercial, or complex general contracting projects.
- Experience managing $5M–$17M+ public entity projects; public entity experience required.
- Proven success in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in operationally sensitive environments (e.g., Army, NAVFAC) is highly desirable.
- Strong financial acumen and contract administration expertise.
- Proficiency in RMS, Primavera6, Bluebeam, Sage /Timberline, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of initiative, independence, and accountability.

- Navigating uneven terrain, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Base salary range: $115,000 – $155,000 annually, commensurate with experience, location, and project scope.
