POSITION SUMMARY: It is the responsibility of this role to safely move material within the warehouse and safely stage, load, and unload product from trucks.
Essential Functions
- Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and/or materials.
- Accountable for the safety of all employees on their shift and that employees understand and work according to both Safety Absolutes and Plant Safety Rules.
- Oversee day-to-day shift operations under the direction of the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor to support Stretch Blow Molding, Injection Molding, and Reheat and Blow Molding.
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture and motivate team members to perform to the best of their ability.
- Adheres to and maintains good manufacturing practices coupled with quality plan expectations.
- Works with Shipping Supervisor, Production Manager, Shift Supervisors, and/or Scheduler to move products effectively and efficiently to and from the manufacturing facility warehouse.
- Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to predetermined guidelines.
- Schedules deliveries based on the delivery date requested by the individual customer and coordinates with an approved group of carriers.
- Prepares and prints loads in the JD Edwards system.
- Notifies carriers of any special handling requirements and verifies paperwork for all deliveries prior to assigning the driver a dock door. Once trailer is loaded, the driver will process the paperwork.
- Responsible for receiving all-inbound freight and receiving it into the JD Edwards system.
- Assures inventory accuracy and records integrity through cycle counting and auditing of all physical inventories.
- Take precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss and report any damage or lost product to Warehouse Manager.
- Responsible for notifying Quality Assurance and all other related personnel of any damaged or returned product as well as assisting in the coordination and isolation of the materials in question.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position/Qualification Requirement
Information Ordering -- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
Forklift certified --- 1-3 years of forklift experience. Must be certified or capable of being certified.
Warehouse Material Handling – 3-5 years of warehouse and/or material handling experience using RF bar code scanners preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Extent Flexibility -- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
Wrist-Finger Speed -- The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands,
and wrists.
Multilimb Coordination -- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift, carry, and move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies weighing up t0 40 lbs. regularly throughout the shift.
Standing and Walking: Required to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) on concrete floors in a fast-paced production environment.
Pushing and Pulling: Frequent pushing and pulling of carts, bins, and pallets loaded with materials or products.
Climbing and Reaching: Occasional climbing of ladders or steps and reaching overhead or below waist level to load/unload materials.
Bending and Stooping: Regular bending, stooping, and crouching to access materials and operate equipment.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle tools, operate machinery controls, and manage packaging tasks with precision and care.
Environmental Exposure: Work may involve exposure to heat, humidity, plastic fumes, and moderate to high noise levels typical of injection molding operations.
Mobility and Coordination: Must be able to safely navigate equipment, pallets, and production areas with good balance and coordination.
