Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of maintenance spare parts, tooling, consumables, and repair supplies.
- Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts as needed to prevent stock shortages.
- Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for maintenance and tooling supplies.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain stockroom locations for efficient storage and retrieval of parts.
- Track usage of maintenance parts and update inventory records in the company inventory management system.
- Research and source replacement parts from approved vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to identify required spare parts and inventory needs.
- Maintain records of tooling, equipment components, warranties, and vendor information.
- Ensure critical spare parts are stocked to minimize equipment downtime.
- Return defective, incorrect, or excess inventory items according to company procedures.
- Assist in establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels for stocked items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and tooling storage area.
- Generate inventory and purchasing reports as requested by management.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, maintenance storeroom operations, purchasing, or warehouse management preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, maintenance, or tooling environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of inventory control and purchasing practices.
- Understanding of maintenance spare parts, tools, equipment components, and industrial supplies.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to accurately count, track, and reconcile inventory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations and reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification may be required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance inventory management.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) inventory practices.
The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $19.00 per hour; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience between $19.00 per hour and $23.50 per hour.
