A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you are the mastermind behind planning, implementing, and managing all of the day-to-day activities at our country club related to finance and information technology. Being in an executive-level role, you act as the main business advisor to the general manager and CEO of the club by keeping track of our finances and all necessary accounting functions. In addition, you serve as a representative for our management team by attending the Board of Directors and Finance Committee meetings. Essential Function:
- Develop policies to control and coordinate financing, accounting, auditing, budgets, taxes and related activities and records; develop, establish and administer procedures and systems pertaining to financial
- Prepare or oversee preparation of all financial statements, forecasts and analyses for all administrative and managerial Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with GM/COO, Board and Finance Committee the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Develop performance measures that support the Club's strategic

- Maintain all accounting records and is responsible for development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting
- Evaluate operating results in terms of costs, revenues, budgets, policies of operation, trends and increased profit opportunities.
- Supervise the staffing, scheduling, training, and professional development of accounting team
- Comply with the club's policies and procedures as established in the employee
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Cost Account, Inventory Accounting and Revenue
- Supports the general manager and the board of governors in developing and delivering the organization's financial and business
- Coordinate the preparation and submittal of regulatory

- CFO and Director of Human Resources oversee the evaluation and renewals of employee benefit programs including group health insurance and 401(K) retirement programs. Prepare budget Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package. Act as fiduciary on behalf of the Club for all employee benefit plans.
- Review yearly general insurance quote policies with the GM/COO. Evaluate market conditions and recommend changes in carriers and/or brokers.
- Ensure that all accounting employees adhere to the roles and responsibilities associated with their

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working in a club environment OR a hospitality-related industry in accounting or finance
- Significant management experience, including leading an accounting office
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Certified Public Account
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
Holding an MBA, MS, or MF in a related field would be a plus. Being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Hospitality Accounting Executive (CHAE) is preferred. Proficiency with club-specific software would be a plus but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
