Overview:
Blue Yonder is looking for a seasoned marketing leader with a passion for supply chain and a deep understanding of how different industries leverage supply chains to meet corporate goals.
Covering our retail and manufacturing industry marketing efforts, this role is a strategic input into Blue Yonder’s go-to-market success. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing supply chain management software and experience building content strategies that help communicate our to customers and partners.
Scope:
Leads the industry marketing function and defines the strategic direction, operating model, and long-term roadmap approach needed to achieve corporate goals. Collaborates directly with senior executives to shape and deliver on industry strategy objectives, ensuring marketing priorities are aligned with business outcomes, financial targets, and market opportunities. Oversees the creation of content, messaging frameworks, partner and customer engagement strategies that elevate the company’s brand, drive growth, and support go-to-market execution. Where appropriate, this also includes driving new go-to-market approaches in support of mergers and acquisitions. Ensures the function maintains high standards of quality, industry depth, consistency, compliance, and customer focus across all deliverables. Serves as a senior representative of the marketing organization, providing insight to executive leadership and acting as a company spokesperson or strategic delegate in external and internal forums as appropriate. Partners closely with product, sales, operations, and other business units to influence enterprise-level decisions and ensure cohesive execution across teams and initiatives. Mentors the development of individuals and leaders within their organization.
What you will do:
- Multi-Level Organizational Leadership & Strategy: Manages a broad team of marketers, including team leaders, setting organizational priorities and mentoring the development of individuals / leaders so that the organization can deliver on corporate priorities for manufacturing and retail industries.
- Content and Messaging Strategy: Collaborate with peers in marketing and sales to create messaging and content frameworks / templates for delivering industry-specific, value-oriented messaging, and technical messages, to sellers, buyers, partners and supply chain pundits.
- Long Range GTM Strategy Management: Create and execute multi-channel prong initiatives – including managing solution launches – that drive pipeline, digital and thought leadership, including new markets.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in marketing on a solution portfolio, supporting sales and marketing initiatives and providing insights on how to take advantage of market and competitive changes.
- Cross-Portfolio Level Value Analysis: Work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate new capabilities from the entire Blue Yonder portfolio into industry-centric, outcome-oriented messaging and content used in sales, awareness and demand generation.
- Steward of Organizational Excellence: Ensures the function maintains high standards of in depth industry knowledge, delivery consistency and customer focus across all deliverables.
- Competitive GTM Strategy: Evaluate opportunities to take share and deposition competitors, working with competitive intelligence, sales and partners.
- Spokesperson: Serve as a spokesperson at an industry level, internally and externally, supporting engagements with analysts, press, industry pundits, partners and customers.
- AI Expert: Understand AI and how to leverage it for repeatable, high speed marketing support, as well as how to guide external AI to properly surface Blue Yonder in relevant queries.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing, MBA/master’s preferred
- 12+ years of experience marketing to manufacturers and retailers. Experience marketing to Grocery, Chemical and Industrial Manufacturing and Hi-Tech organizations is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience working on SaaS software
- Proven expertise in building strong relationships with product management, engineering, delivery, and sales to drive industry level GTM and outside-in value messaging.
- Self-starter with proven planning and project management skills, with proven ability to oversee complex projects from origin to execution.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication/presentation skills with strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Possess a deep understanding of supply chains and the underlying technologies necessary to deliver them, ensuring c-suite stakeholders (finance, IT, security, supply chain, etc.) understand our value.
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud-based software products
- Experience defining and measuring how marketing efforts support business goals
- Strong internal communicator and collaborator.

The annual salary range for this position is $ 193,198.10- $ 250,801.89
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
