About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Workato Engineer to join a forward-deployed, client-facing team focused on modern integration and automation solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on integration expert with strong Workato experience and a solid understanding of API-based architectures. The selected candidate will work closely with enterprise clients and internal engineering teams to design, build, and optimize scalable integration workflows. Experience with AI-driven automation and agentic workflow patterns is highly valuable for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain advanced Workato integrations and automation workflows.
Build scalable integrations using recipes, connectors, triggers, actions, and robust error-handling practices.
Develop and manage API-based solutions using API collections, API recipes, Recipe Functions, and callable recipes.
Integrate enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Snowflake, and similar systems.
Collaborate directly with enterprise clients to co-build modern integration and automation solutions.
Mentor and support junior and internal engineers throughout project engagements.
Contribute to best practices around integration architecture, AI-enabled workflows, and automation standards.

Must-have Requirements

3+ years of hands-on experience with Workato.
Strong expertise with Workato recipes, connectors, triggers, actions, and error handling.
Strong experience with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, JSON, and custom connectors.
Experience with API collections, API recipes, Recipe Functions, and callable recipes.
Proven experience delivering integrations for enterprise systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to guide and mentor technical team members.
Experience working in client-facing or forward-deployed technical roles.

Nice-to-have Requirements

Workato Integration Developer Certification or an equivalent practical portfolio.
Experience with MCP, ideally within Workato Enterprise MCP environments.
Exposure to Financial Services, FinCrime, AML, or Community FI domains.
Previous experience working for a Workato SI partner or directly within the Workato ecosystem.
Experience developing LLM-powered agents and AI workflows using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
Familiarity with identity-aware and AI-enabled architecture patterns.
