Overview

We are seeking a Global Lead Sales & Business Development Manager to lead sales and business development for our Data Centers segment within ABB Robotics. In this role, you will define and execute global sales strategies, build relationships with hyperscalers and key partners, influence early-stage customer design decisions, and lead a high-performing sales team. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and delivering sustainable business performance in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. In this role, you'll lead global sales and business development for the Data Centers segment, driving growth through strategic accounts, partnerships, and early-stage customer engagement. You'll own the commercial strategy, pipeline, and execution to deliver sustainable revenue and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute global sales strategy, pipeline development, and account capture plans

  • Lead strategic relationships with hyperscalers, partners, and key customers

  • Drive early design influence and translate customer needs into scalable solutions

  • Build and lead a high-performing global sales organization

  • Own business performance including orders, revenue, margins, and pipeline quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

  • 10+ years in sales leadership, business development, or strategic accounts

  • Experience in data centers, automation, or infrastructure industries

  • Proven success managing global accounts and complex deals in similar segment

  • Experience influencing early-stage customer decisions and specifications with a strong commercial and strategic mindset

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management and the ability to lead across regions and influence without authority

Health, Life & Disability

  • Choice between two medical plan options: A PPO plan called the Copay Plan OR a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) called the High Deductible Plan. 

  • Choice between two dental plan options: Core and Core Plus

  • Voluntary life and AD&D – 100% employee paid up to maximums
