AVP/SVP - Cloud & Network Administrator

Overview

Our client is a well-established financial services institution seeking a VP – Cloud & Network to join their dynamic and inclusive team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation and management of cloud and network solutions tailored for the financial industry, combining deep technical skills with a strong understanding of regulatory and performance requirements. You will also drive the adoption of AI‑driven technologies to enhance infrastructure, while partnering closely with diverse business and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Cloud management – Oversee, configure and maintain multi‑cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Alicloud, Azure), ensuring secure, resilient and high‑performance services.
• Network administration – Manage enterprise‑level networks to ensure uptime, security and efficiency, including proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
• Systems & virtualization – Administer and troubleshoot Windows, Linux and VMware environments, and maintain virtualization solutions to support scalability.
• Data centre & server health – Conduct regular health checks and capacity reviews for data centres and server infrastructure, resolving issues before they impact the business.
• Vendor management – Engage and manage technology vendors, including service scoping, contract negotiation and ensuring delivery against SLAs.
• AI & automation – Identify and implement AI‑driven automation and optimisation opportunities across cloud and network platforms.
• Compliance & security – Ensure infrastructure complies with financial‑sector regulations and cybersecurity requirements; define and enforce policies for data integrity and confidentiality.
• Leadership – Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in cloud computing, network management and virtualization, with finance industry experience required.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of AWS, Alicloud and/or Azure.
• Solid experience managing routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux and VMware.
• Experience in data centre operations and maintaining high system uptime.
• Exposure to AI / automation frameworks and tools is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of financial‑sector regulations and data privacy requirements.
• Able to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for working with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
• Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Preferred certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications (Alicloud / Azure).
• CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• ITIL or similar service / project management framework.
