Lead Buyer

We are looking for a new colleague for our Technical Purchase:

EXPERIENCED LEAD BUYER

Are you an experienced, driven and result-oriented professional with a passion for technology and purchasing? You have extensive experience in negotiating technical purchase contracts, ensuring technical availability of our production assets with our suppliers and concluding qualitative and cost-efficient investment agreements in a timely manner in close cooperation with our engineering department and cross countries Lead Buyers Team.  Then we are looking for you!

As a Lead Buyer, you are the strategic key person in the procurement process related to investments or maintenance work to support our operations. From tendering to comparing, negotiating and finally contracting materials and services. Within this workstream, you always work according to the principles of Total Cost Of Ownership in consultation with your internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Stora Enso sourcing standards and instructions. This internal cooperation is crucial for you which you translate into a solid agreement with the suppliers.

Your main challenges include:

• Plan and execute tenders in line with category strategies and sourcing guidelines

• Negotiate with suppliers about prices, conditions, deliveries and service.

• Correctly drafting and managing the contracts.

• Monitoring the delivery reliability, as well as securing contractual agreements.

• Identifying cross-mill purchasing synergies

• The correct registration of this entire process in sourcing tools

• A proactive follow-up of your files and deadlines.

Who fits in this job and within our team?

We are looking for an experienced colleague who can work both independently and in a team and who works proactively and solution-oriented. You have excellent negotiation skills, sufficient technical knowledge and strong analytical skills and commercial insight.

Your profile:

• You have a university degree - Commercial Engineering or equivalent technical knowledge through experience is a plus - and have extensive experience in technical purchasing.

• You are enthusiastic, dynamic, hands-on and result-oriented. You know how to set the right priorities and follow up files very accurately.

• You always work in a process-oriented and systematic way. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have a proactive work attitude.

• You like to work within a team and with internal stakeholders, but you are also autonomous in following up on your files.

• Thanks to your communication skills, both in Dutch and in English, both orally and in writing, you know how to enter into a dialogue with various interlocutors.

• You can easily get away with all kinds of IT systems.
