Job Description

Overview

Ready to launch your career in aviation engineering? Join our team as an Aviation Engineer and help shape the future of infrastructure at major hub airports across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects involving runways, taxiways, and apron systems, while learning from experienced professionals in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be located in or near Philadelphia, PA. However, we will also consider candidates based in Boston, MA; Laurel, MD; New York, NY; or Alexandria, VA.

Your role

As part of our aviation team, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development of critical airport infrastructure:

  • Assist in designing and developing plans for runway, taxiway, and apron improvements at major hub and regional airports
  • Contribute to preliminary layouts and final engineering drawings using industry-standard tools
  • Support research on design alternatives, value engineering, and airfield site conditions
  • Help evaluate FAA and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Prepare preliminary estimates for project costs, materials, and level of effort
  • Participate in quality control reviews, including checking calculations, drawings, and design accuracy
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including planners, environmental specialists, and construction professionals
  • Gain field experience by observing airfield and apron construction activities, as applicable

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
  • 4+ years of experience (internships or relevant coursework in aviation or highways preferred)
  • Strong interest in airport infrastructure, airfield design, or transportation engineering
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced aviation environment
  • Exposure to aviation or highway design projects is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with CAD or civil engineering design tools preferred
  • Interest in working on runway expansions, taxiway geometry, or apron layout design
