The Opportunity:
Our Client is seeking a Marine Account Manager to drive strategic growth and strengthen OEM relationships within the marine industry. This individual will serve as the primary commercial and technical liaison for assigned accounts, leading business development efforts, identifying new product opportunities, and collaborating closely with engineering, purchasing, and leadership teams to deliver innovative lighting, electrical, and custom molded solutions.

This is a highly visible, relationship-driven sales role ideal for a consultative B2B sales professional who thrives on both “farming and hunting” for new business opportunities while managing existing OEM partnerships. The Marine Account Manager will play a key role in capturing the voice of the customer, supporting new product development initiatives, and contributing directly to regional revenue growth and long-term customer retention.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell marine lighting, molded, electrical, and electronic solutions to OEM accounts throughout the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering, purchasing, and leadership teams within OEM customer organizations
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining a growth pipeline equal to at least 25% of regional sales revenue
  • Drive expansion of existing product lines and secure placement of new products
  • Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and engineering-level discussions with OEM stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineering and internal teams on new product development initiatives
  • Capture and communicate customer requirements, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support product roadmap planning
  • Support pricing strategy, quotation development, negotiations, and forecasting activities
  • Partner with customer care, marketing, quality, operations, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in industry trade shows, customer events, and product launches to strengthen brand presence and customer engagement
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and sales reporting documentation
  • Travel throughout the region to visit OEM facilities, customer locations, docks, marinas, and production environments

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of B2B sales and/or marine industry experience
  • Demonstrated success in territory management, technical sales, account development, prospecting, and closing complex sales opportunities
  • Experience selling into marine OEM accounts strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to participate in engineering-level technical discussions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple organizational levels
  • Self-directed and highly organized with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Experience with lighting, molded products, electrical systems, or marine products is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, CRM/ERP systems, and digital communication tools
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the region, including occasional overnight travel
