Storage Specialist

Overview

Mancon Inc. is currently seeking a Storage Specialist to support warehouse and distribution operations. This position supports inventory organization, storage optimization, and warehouse efficiency initiatives within a fast-paced Government logistics environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, experience working within warehouse management systems, and the ability to support storage accuracy, material flow efficiency, and space utilization efforts across distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Government Storage Specialist to maintain systemic storage bin locations in WMS by verifying that they accurately match the dimensions and characteristics of the physical storage location, follow the approved naming schema, are properly labeled and marked, and are accurately represented on the associated planography drawing with the Government Storage Analyst.
• Ensure requirements are being adhered to while also identifying occupied locations in WMS that fall below 50% density (measured as volume in WMS) and
• Direct re-warehousing that reduces multiple locations for the same material, increases overall density for the distribution center, improves pick time for faster moving material, and results in additional vacant locations for new inductions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations similar to the size and complexity of the operations offered in this contract.
• Experience will include a minimum of 2 years of experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past 5 years.
• Secret Security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain forklift

Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
