The Director of Recreation provides the highest level of customer service, and oversight and ensures effective management of all facets of the Pool and Beach, Racquet Program, Group Exercise Program, Water Sports, Corporate Recreation Programs, Golf, and all Sports Programming.
What you will do
1. Ensures quality member and guest experience through oversight of the service delivery in the following departments: tennis retail, tennis instruction, group exercise, corporate recreation, sports programming racquet programs, and golf.
2. Accountable for the financial performance in the following departments: Pool and Beach, Racquet Programs, Water Sports, and Golf.
3. Oversight of physical product quality through capital projects and management accountability in the following departments: Pool and Beach, Racquet Programs, Water Sports, and Golf.
4. Ensure active marketing and promotion of all aspects of sports programming through partnering with Marketing and PR.
5. Oversight of the development of innovative pool and beach, golf, racquet, sports, and recreation programs to consistently exceed customer expectations and maximize revenue opportunities.
What you bring
Education: College degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in pool and beach, sports, and recreation management in a similar facility. Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage service experience required.
Skills and Abilities: Understanding of high-quality service delivery and recreation products. Knowledge of multiple recreation programs including pool and beach, tennis, personal training, corporate recreation, and group exercise. Knowledge of financial systems including forecasting, budgeting, retail, and revenue production. Superior communication skills.
