Job Description:
Junior Urban Designer
Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Urban Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on different types of urban development projects that will change the fabric of our cities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assist in preparing urban planning studies and develop master plans at local, regional, and strategic level.
Develop graphics for master planning output (diagrams, collages, sketches)
Perform professional planning and urban design tasks, research and analysis, under the guidance and supervision of an experienced urban designer / planner.
Assist in developing technical inputs to support the delivery of high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or closely related field.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in producing conceptual designs and illustrative layouts.
Creative thinking and in depth understanding of current best practices.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Masters degree is Urban Planning / Urban Design or architecture.
Ability to perform well in a team, with proactive approach and sense of ownership on projects.
Proficiency in 3d modelling software (Rhino, Sketchup).
