Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing machinery according to company procedures and safety standards.
- Set up equipment for production runs and make basic machine adjustments as needed.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance of major equipment problems.
- Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist other departments as needed to meet production goals.
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read work instructions and follow production specifications.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, twist, push, and pull throughout the shift.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Manufacturing or production experience.
- Experience operating automated production equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when production demands require.
