Occupational Therapy Aide - Panorama Surrey

As an Occupational Therapy Aide at Monarch House your primary responsibility is implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and/or motor delays. Your role of Occupational Therapy Aide is to execute intervention plans developed and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist to clients in care of Monarch House. The Assistant will work within an interdisciplinary team while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.

Please note that we do not offer LMIA or independent contractor setup 

Employment setup: Part-time. Hourly. 
Salary: From $23-24/hr
Work setting: Center-based in Panorama Surrey
Work Schedule: (weekly schedule based on client needs)

Monday - Saturday, between 9AM - 6PM. Evening sessions from 3-6pm are required.


Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

• Communication with family/client and supervisor on session progress
• Implementation of treatment plans based on best practices.
• Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment
• Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
• Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care
• Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged
• Support clients with personal care tasks such as dressing, toileting, and eating when needed.

Here is what you will need to be successful

• Post-secondary course work in Occupational Therapy.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as an OTA
• Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certificate
