Why This Role Is Important

Reporting to the Program Manager of School of Advanced Manufacturing, Science and Transportation, part-time Professors are responsible for teaching courses within the programs and developing an effective learning environment for students. 

Program Details

We require faculty qualified to teach across the following area:

Trades Fundamentals (PRT2)

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with applying safe, effective, and efficient methods to implement and complete construction projects
• Experience in the safe use, care, and maintenance of a variety of hand, portable, and stationary power tools typically used in residential construction
• Practical experience using and training on accurate, efficient, and effective use of construction tools.
• Excellent communication, team building and leadership and computer skills are expected
• Prior teaching experience in an academic setting is an asset
• Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
• Excellent communicator
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
• Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
• Teaching experience with face-to face preferred
• Related industry work experience, previous College or Apprenticeship teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
