Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
Serves as support staff for the Record Services department. Responsible for the scanning and indexing of account documentation in order to be viewed and retrieved in EFCU’s Imaging System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review closed accounts and update records in imaging system with a close date. Pull member cards when membership has been closed and ensure the cards are scanned into the imaging system.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with required retention of documents.
- Process and encode redeemed US Savings bonds and Canadian checks.
- Responsible for file room operation and organization of account and member documents.
- Perform basic maintenance on scanning equipment which includes cleaning and replacing rollers to secure top quality of imagery. In instances where trouble shooting cannot be completed by Records Specialist, the IT department is to be notified.
- Bundle checks in compliance for secure storage.
- Pull previously filed member information when account changes are made and scan entire member file into imaging system.
- Assist coworkers with inquiries regarding imaging as well as provide coworkers paper documentation when requested, and tracking of the same.
- Monitor filing area to determine when items need sent to long term storage.
- Responsible for scanning and filing of all account, member, atm and teller documents.
- Back-up to Lending Records Scan Specialist.
- Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all federal laws and regulations as set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.

- Attend conferences, seminars and training courses relating to areas of responsibility.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with vendors, members and coworkers.
- Work requires knowledge of the Credit Union’s different account types and what information is required with each type of account.
- Requires completion of high school education.
- Requires previous experience in a financial institution clerical or operations position.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
- Requires PC proficiency and knowledge of Windows Suite.
