Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Protection & Cybersecurity Consultant with Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (IRM) Subject Matters Experts background to support enterprise cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview IRM, Splunk, and Power BI, with exposure to Databricks being an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Subject Matters Expert for Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (IRM).
- Design, configure, and manage IRM policies, detection groups, priority users, policy indicators, and adaptive protection.
- Investigate insider risk alerts and provide recommendations for escalated cases.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, HR, and Legal teams on insider risk investigations.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports for security monitoring.
- Design and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Connect Power BI to Databricks and other data sources for reporting and analytics.
- (Good to have) Use Databricks, SQL, and PySpark to prepare and transform data for reporting.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (IRM) and Information Rights Management.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk dashboards, alerts, and security monitoring.
- Strong Power BI development and reporting experience.
- Good knowledge of SQL; experience with Databricks and PySpark is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Data Governance, or Security Operations.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 Compliance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), or Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) is advantageous.
