Description
Amphenol Borisch Technologies is currently seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The CNC Machinist is responsible for ensuring effective operations by performing the following duties.
Available shifts: 2nd
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs Basic setups on all CNC Machines with the direction of the Sr. CNC Programmer.
- Effectively loads and unloads part from fixtures in accordance with the applicable Work Instructions.
- Monitors tool life and replaces worn tooling when necessary.
- Monitors proper coolant and other fluid levels in the CNC Machines.
- Ensures that we are maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.
- Completes necessary deburring on completed parts.
- Observes CNC Machines to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for improving production processes and reducing non-conforming product.
- Analyzes and evaluates production issues to quickly and effectively create and implement adequate solutions.
- Notifies the Production supervisor of material shortages.
- Labels all scrap and re-work as soon as identified and separates these from the production parts.
- Maintains organization and cleanliness in the machine shop.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years Machining experience in a production environment
- Proficient reading and understanding blue prints, models and specifications
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and GD&T
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience working with/on machines and equipment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Advanced math skills
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
