Description

ABOUT PREMIER AGGREGATES

Founded in 2011, Premier Aggregates began as a transportation and logistics company serving the heavy industrial market. Today, we are one of southern Idaho's most trusted suppliers of rock, sand, gravel, and aggregate products — serving communities across the Treasure Valley and beyond, including Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and many more.

Every step of the way — from permitting to mining to reclamation — we take care of our communities and our customers, leading the way and looking out for future generations of Idahoans.

Our core values are simple: ownership, toughness, service, and professionalism — in everything we do.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on, people-first HR Generalist to join our team in Eagle, ID. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role is the heartbeat of our on-site HR function responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance, development, and offboarding. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love building culture, and take pride in running a tight, compliant HR operation, we'd love to meet you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition

Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts crafting compelling job postings, managing requisitions, coordinating interviews, and partnering closely with hiring managers to identify and secure top talent. Engage external talent partners as needed.

Onboarding & Offboarding

Deliver a seamless experience at every transition point. Manage employee records through our HRIS, coordinate cross-functionally, and continuously refine our onboarding and offboarding processes to work smarter, not harder.

Employee Engagement & Belonging

Champion a workplace where people feel seen, valued, and connected. Support the design and execution of engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities — both locally and company-wide. Administer our annual engagement survey and translate feedback into meaningful action.

Performance, Reward & Development

Administer, deploy, and train for Premier's annual performance review and compensation cycles, ensuring a smooth experience for both employees and managers. Identify training opportunities and coordinate professional development initiatives in partnership with the broader team.

Payroll & Benefits

Serve as a key coordination point for payroll processing and benefits enrollment, partnering with our Payroll & Benefits providers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant administration.

Systems & Data Integrity

Maintain precise and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS managing profile updates, compensation changes, transfers, promotions, and all related transactions with accuracy and care.

Policies & Compliance

Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law. Ensure company policies and procedures are up to date and compliant and provide proactive communication and training to people managers when changes arise.

Health & Safety

Collaborate with our health and safety team to support compliance with required protocols, conducting periodic checks to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you're approachable, clear, and credible
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Rippling experience a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Medical benefits — Premier contributes toward premiums covering a majority of employee-only costs. Choose between a PPO or HSA plan based on what works best for you.
  • Dental & vision insurance
  • Simple IRA with a 3% employer match, eligible from day one — transitioning to a 401(k) plan effective January 1, 2027, with an expected 4% match and a vesting schedule
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development support — we invest in your growth. Premier will cover annual SHRM membership dues for certified HR professionals, along with reasonable continuing education expenses
  • A collaborative, values-driven team environment
