In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice to internal customers across various Treasury areas. Each day, you will identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to minimize and reduce risks. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing appropriate financial instruments and transactions required to manage risk.

We are strengthening the Global Trade Finance Development Center as a Center of Expertise for Export and Trade Finance processes in Kraków. We are looking for talented and self-driven candidates who would like to contribute to this initiative and be part of this great undertaking.

This role is contributing to the Trade Finance Delivery Center in the Americas, APAC, or EMEA region. Main stakeholders are banks and internal ABB project managers from various businesses.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as a senior member of the Export and Trade Finance operational team, independently managing end-to-end processing of guarantees and counter-guarantees
• Handling complex, non-standard, and high-risk trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies, bank requirements, and regulatory standards
• Providing expert operational support and guidance to local business units, acting as a subject matter expert and point of reference for process-related questions
• Serving as a key contact for ABB core banks, leading operational discussions and managing escalations when required
• Proactively identifying process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities, while contributing to or leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Participating in treasury and transformation projects, supporting design, implementation, and change adoption activities
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure effective delivery of trade finance services
• Demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, risk awareness, and adherence to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, while supporting and sharing knowledge with less experienced team members

Qualifications for the role

• You have 3–5 years of experience in Treasury, especially in administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
• You are qualified in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics, or a related field
• You possess solid knowledge of Trade Finance instruments; knowledge of URDG and UCP is considered an advantage
• You are highly skilled in MS Excel and standard Windows applications
• You are passionate about clear communication, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
• You have experience in daily cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, including banks and business units
• You are at ease communicating in English, both written and spoken
