Operations Manager

Location: Queenswood, Pretoria, but must be willing to travel frequently to branches across SA

Working hours: Mon - Fri: 08:00 - 17:00

We're looking for a dynamic Operations Manager who thrives on developing people, improving systems, and ensuring every patient enjoys an outstanding experience across our national network of practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical, retail environment, travelling between practices, coaching teams, and driving measurable business performance.

 

What you will be responsible for:

• Drive operational consistency across all practices.
• Conduct regular in-field practice visits and operational audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and SOP’s
• Support the successful rollout of new practices and operational initiatives.

 

Patient Experience:

• Champion an exceptional patient journey from first contact through follow-up
• Ensure practices maintain a professional, welcoming and patient-focused environment.

 

Team Leadership and Development

• Coach, mentor and develop reception and administrative teams.
• Identify training needs and implement continuous development initiatives
• Support performance management through coaching and accountability

 

Business Performance:

• Improve diary efficiency and appointment management
• Monitor lead conversion, patient follow-up processes and operational KPI’s
• Analyse operational trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

 

Reporting and communication:

• Prepare accurate operational reports on practice performance
• Foster effective communication between practices and Head Office

 

Problem solving:

• Resolve operational challenges and patient service concerns.
• Collaborate with internal departments to implement practical solutions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

 

We are looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience in multi-site operations, healthcare (retail), hospitality or service management.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
• The ability to analyse data and turn insights into action
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Operations Manager, Healthcare Management or a related field will be advantageious.
• Minimum 3 years experience in an operational leadership role
• Experience managing multiple sites or branches will be highly advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting.
