[What the role is]

The International Centre for Aviation Innovation (ICAI) is dedicated to facilitating the development and adoption of advanced technologies within the aviation sector. ICAI strives to advance aviation innovation by translating research into real-world operational capabilities, fostering stronger international partnerships, and nurturing a vibrant innovation ecosystem.

As Programme Manager (ANS), you will be part of a team that manages the research and development programme that focuses on advancing next generation air navigation services (NexGen ANS) in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, through the Aviation Transformation Programme (ATP).

[What you will be working on]

Reporting to the Deputy Programme Director (ANS), you will work closely with the ICAI teams to drive the strategic thrusts and advance research and development (R&D) projects under the management of ICAI.

Working alongside other Programme Managers, you will be responsible for the management of projects under the NexGen ANS programme. You will also perform tasks related to ATP grant administration and other administrative matters managed by the research institutes pertaining to the R&D efforts and programmes that ICAI oversees.

In coordination with the relevant departments in ICAI, you are expected to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including with international and industrial partners, as well as direct liaison with subject matter experts (SME) subject to the needs of the projects or activities in which you are involved.

[What we are looking for]

We are looking for a practitioner with expertise and experience in project and programme management. You should be comfortable operating independently with little or no supervision. Prior experience in similar fields in aviation in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Background in Sciences, Engineering preferred

  • Training in aviation field or related discipline. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications would be an advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, in project or programme management, or related fields.

  • Experience in providing support to leaders or leadership teams.

  • Strong staffing, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

  • Good team player with excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated and independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to travel on occasion for work.
