Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Management in Windsor, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your professional presence will help support a secure, well-organized environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, integrity, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff the front desk and manage visitor, contractor, and driver check-in processes in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify credentials, issue visitor badges or access materials, maintain entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, communications, and security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
