Description
At Pfizer, breakthroughs change patients' lives. In Specialty Care that means people living with rare and serious conditions, from ATTR amyloidosis and hemophilia to atopic dermatitis and vitiligo. Our Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team turns data into the decisions that help these medicines reach the patients who need them, powered by a proprietary, AI-enabled analytics stack few commercial teams can match. As the Team Lead for Customer Strategy, you will lead the team that turns our field, patient-solutions, and omnichannel insight into one connected customer strategy, and grow the people who do it.
Pfizer's Specialty Care Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team is seeking a Director / Team Lead for Customer Strategy: a people leader who will build, lead, and develop the team responsible for how we support customer-facing Commercial across the Specialty Care portfolio. Consolidating what were separate above-brand customer-engagement and patient-solutions capabilities into one team, this leader connects the field, patient solutions, and omnichannel into a single customer strategy.
The Team Lead aligns to the US Commercial Customer Engagement (CEP) and Patient Solutions leaders, supporting them at the portfolio level while the brand-aligned pods handle therapeutic area-specific work. They lead three connected areas, patient solutions strategy, field and account strategy, and omnichannel and customer engagement, and they grow the team: unlocking its curiosity, fostering innovation, setting a high bar for quality, and mentoring the next generation of IIS strategists.
The ideal candidate is an outstanding people leader with deep customer-facing commercial fluency, from field and account dynamics to patient services and omnichannel engagement, and the EQ to build and inspire a cross-functional team. They bring proven thought leadership, strong entrepreneurial drive, and a well-formed point of view they are not afraid to assert, and they develop that same confidence in their team through consistent mentorship. They pair analytic command with the presence to partner credibly with senior Commercial leaders, and they measure success by the decisions they shape and the people they grow.
Why IIS: What You'll Gain
- Lead at the frontier of AI in commercial analytics. Your team uses and helps shape IIS-built tools like ORBIT (our subnational performance platform) and AnalogueOS (our AI analogue-matching engine) to turn field, patient, and channel signals into action, and you set how AI fluency scales across the team.
- A leadership platform, and a team to build. You will stand up and grow a newly consolidated Customer Strategy team, shape how it works in an AI-enabled model, and see your people advance along IIS's strategist career track.
- A real seat at the table. You will partner directly with the US Commercial Customer Engagement and Patient Solutions leaders, and your team's work shapes the decisions they make.
- A culture built on curiosity. We reward the sharper question, out-of-the-box thinking, and genuine intellectual partnership over order-taking, and we look to our leaders to protect it.
Role Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and develop the Customer Strategy team across field and account, patient solutions, and omnichannel, hiring for judgment and curiosity and growing each person's craft and career.
