Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Verification in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by verifying credentials, managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. Your visible presence and strong communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and/or delivery appointments, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Complete required reports and maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, inspections, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
